In a previous blog, I showed the reporting segment names used by 38 global chemical companies. (Click here to see that blog.) Four of the 38 companies have additives in one, or more, of their reporting segment names (Clariant, Eastman, Evonik, and Lanxess).
In this blog, I show in the table below details on what those four companies (Clariant, Eastman, Evonik, and Lanxess) indicate in their annual reports about their additive businesses. I also reviewed the annual reports of the other 34 companies as to what additive businesses they have, even though they have no additive reporting business segments. The other companies that indicate additive businesses are also presented in the table, along with what these companies indicate in their annual reports about their additive businesses. Twenty-two of the 38 companies report no additive businesses and are not listed in the table below.

The additive businesses pursued by these sixteen companies
(the ones in the table above) are
impressive. These businesses are
based on active research and development (R&D) programs. The results of these R&D programs contribute
significantly to society.
